Privacy Policy
G. Omachi & Co ("the Firm", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). The Firm is the data controller.
1. What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number and message.
- Newsletter: your first name, last name and email address.
- Technical data: your browser requests fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
2. Why we use it and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry (your consent, or steps you request before entering a contract).
- To send you our newsletter (your consent, confirmed by email).
- To keep the website secure and meet legal obligations (legitimate interests and legal obligation).
We do not sell your data or use it for automated decision-making.
3. Newsletter and service providers
Newsletter details are processed on our behalf by Brevo, an email service provider that may process data outside Nigeria. We rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers as the NDPA requires. When you subscribe you receive a confirmation email, and you are added to our list only after you confirm. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
4. Contact form
The contact form opens your own email application to send a message to us. What you send is handled by your email provider and ours. Please do not send confidential or privileged case details through the form until we have agreed to act for you.
5. How long we keep data
Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond and for any resulting engagement, and then as required by law and professional rules. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No online transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Under the NDPA you may ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect earlier use). To exercise these rights, email info@g-omachi.com. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
8. Children
This website is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
